• BILLING
We will bill all students between the 3rd-7th of each month for the previous month’s* riding and activities. Please mail payments rather than hand deliv?ery. Paying per lesson is fine, however, you must pay at each lesson otherwise the bookkeeping is too difficult to keep track of. Any billing errors should be sent with a note of explanation regarding the mistake

• EVENTS •
Events must be pre-entered by 6 weeks—only one rider is allowed on each horse per competition—there is a sign-up sheet on clipboard in the main barn to reserve a school horse for a specific event (you must have Tracie’s approval before sending entry in). There is a list of “equipment needed” available from Tracie. This year we are going to quite a few “local” events in order to give first -timers a chance to experience an event without the expense of traveling. The cross country course is usually walked with Tracie the afternoon before the competition. It is recommended that you also walk it at least one more time by yourself in order to really know where you are going. —Walk times are usually written on the clipboard a few days before.
Events consist of three phases: Dressage, Cross Country, and Stadium. Some schooling events hold Combined tests which consist of Dres?sage and Stadium. You have an assigned time for each phase.

Attire:
We wear “horseshow” dress for Dressage and Stadium.
Cross Country requires more safety gear for the horse and rider. Quite often Rivendell can provide most of it, but it is the riders job to organize it accord?ing to the check list provided.

Cost:
Entry fees (sent in by rider with entry form and coggins test 6 weeks prior to the event) approx. $75.00 - $120.00 plus stabling if it’s an overnighter.
coaching --$50.00 per day 4 or more students
--$100.00 per day 3 or less students
braiding $30.00
groom** $10.00

**We travel with a road groom who is in charge of the barn area and assisting to get ready
horse rental $75.00
van local $45.00
van distance $1.00 per loaded mile
(100 mile round trip is $100.00)
lodging and meals At your own expense

*NOTE: At the two or three away events that attract lots of children we often organize a picnic for dinner Friday night so the children get to bed at a reasonable hour. It’s hard to get prompt service when we are 25 at dinner. Usually we reserve the rooms and then you transfer them to your own credit card when you check in. Tracie pays for any of the girls staying all in one room together and then bills you on your next monthly bill.

******YOU MUST LET TRACIE KNOW IF YOU WANT A ROOM RESERVED AND/OR IF YOU MUST CANCEL!!!
